I remember when I first saw that scene.

When I started watching One Piece, I always thought that the character of Chopper would appear in normal anime-mascot attire....
...he would be all cute, and fuzzy, and the main cast would coo over him and such...

What actually happened is the direct opposite of what I just described.

Chopper and Menchi (from Excel Saga) have difficult lives as anime mascots....

HOLY COW. This piece took FOREVER to vector...good gravy. There were so many little props I had to create.

Here's hoping that some people catch the spoofs I put in Chopper's library of medical books!

Luffy has already been drawn in MLP attire, so I decided to keep the red design fans had appointed to his pony form. I’m not quite sure how Luffy would fit into the MLP universe in the first place….considering his obsession with meat…..

(P.S.- I know Luffy has a hippo face. For some reason every time I draw male ponies traditionally, they always end up looking like hippos....not sure why.)
