Anime Problems

Wed Jun 21, 2006, 12:37 PM
I have Anime problems.

I look in this biiiiig dictionary of anime films we have in our library, and scope out ones that look interesting.... ('couse I'm a movie freak that way). The book is called "The Encyclopedia of Anime", and it goes over EVERY anime film made from "when they started making 'em", to 2001. The only problem is that, more then half of the films I find, are either too old to find, or have NEVER been released in the States before. I go to every anime convention, and ask around for the films, just to be disappointed over, and over, and over again. Why do I continue to search for these films, when they're nearly impossible to find?

Here's some from my list, ish!

Kamichu!

I'm Gonna Be an Angel

Legend of the Last Labyrinth

Michel

Maburaho

Magical Play

Magical Meow Meow Taruto

Mao Chan

Cyber Team in Akihabara The Movie: Summer Vacation of 2011 (1999)

Mahoujin GuruGuru/Magical Circle GuruGuru the Movie (1996)

Panda! Go Panda

Nadia

Neo Tokyo

Popotan

Shadow Star Narutaru

Wandaba Style

Bonobono

Night on the Galactic Railroad

Wata no Kuni Hoshi

Puss in Boots: Around the World in 80 Days

Mahoromatic

Panda Kopanda

The Master Cat

Doggie March (Wan Wan Chushingura)

Alien 9

Coo of the far Seas

Unico

...I'll proboly add to the long list of goodness as I find more series in the dictionary.
Anyone know where I can find out more about some of these series? Please tell me!!! The best info anime site I've been able to find is here:

Hmm....out of that whole list, I've only heard of I'm Gonna Be An Angel and Alien 9 - but unfortunately, I have no real info on them :(. I know that Alien 9 has a series (I didn't know it had a movie, too) and for a while it was On Demand from Comcast. The series was extremely short; it looked more like they never finished it the way it ends (either that or Comcast stopped showing it). I'll let you know if I find anything, though :)...

I know they came out with the box set, of the first three manga, and the anime show (that never lifted off past a few eps.), I was tuching the first manga more then 2 years ago...but decided to by the first Ranma 1/2 instead. I've regreted it ever since.
